Acton Endeavor is a learner-driven community in the Chippewa Valley that meets 3 days a week from September through May, with time off between sessions. We are affiliated with Acton Academy, a global network of schools and homeschool extensions.

While the Acton model is not faith based, we as leaders will strive to bring all things back to God who created us, and to encourage our learners to utilize their gifts, skills and passions to make the greatest impact in the world.

Our Mission

We believe each person who enters Acton Endeavor
will find a calling that changes the world.

Our Promises

We promise through Socratic guiding and experiential learning
to encourage each member of our community to:

  • Begin a Hero’s Journey;

  • Discover precious gifts and a commitment to mastery;

  • Become a curious, independent, life-long learner;

  • Embrace the forging of a strong character;

  • Cherish the arts, the physical world, and the mysteries of life; and

  • Treasure economic, political, and religious freedom.

Our Beliefs

We believe each person has a gift that can change the world in a profound way.

  • We believe in learning to learn, learning to do, and learning to be.

  • We believe in a closely connected family of lifelong learners.

  • We believe in economic, political, and religious freedom.

WE ARE…

Learner-driven

We believe young people are capable of much more than the tasks traditional schools force on them. By challenging learners to independently set and attain personal learning goals, they take control of their learning journeys, push themselves out of their comfort zones, and build internal drive.

Mastery-focused

At Acton Endeavor, our learners have the opportunity to learn at their own pace, allowing them to excel quickly in areas of strength and take the time to learn thoroughly before moving on in others. This allows each student to continually be challenged by their work. They showcase their mastery by earning badges, assembling portfolios, and leading a public exhibition of their work.

Curiosity-based

We seek powerful questions, employ problems from the real world to launch projects and nurture innovation through creative problem solving.

Courage-filled

We seek challenges, address problems and face fears looking to overcome and grow academically, spiritually, and relationally.
